ROBERT HARRIS & SIR JOHN SAWERS - a wide-ranging conversation on power, politics and the people who shape history. 

Robert Harris studied English at Cambridge University and joined the BBC in 1978 as a reporter on Newsnight and Panorama. He later worked as a political editor and columnist on the Observer, Sunday Times and Daily Telegraph. He is the author of seventeen novels, including Fatherland, Enigma, Pompeii, The Cicero Trilogy, An Officer and a Spy, The Ghost, Conclave, Munich, Act of Oblivion, Precipice and most recently Agrippa.  His books have been translated into more than 40 languages and nine have been adapted for film and television. He has four children and has lived with his wife, Gill Hornby, in Kintbury, for the past 33 years.

Sir John Sawers is a former British intelligence officer, diplomat and Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6).  He was previously the British Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
